  • Why Insurance may not cover hypnotherapy?
Dr Yuni Gardner is licensed through the NV State Board of Examiners for MFT's & CPC's. She is also a Certified Professional Hypnotherapist through the Alchemy Institute. Clinical Hypnotherapy is an alternative form of wellness treatment that some state licensing boards, including NV, do not recognize despite it being a scientifically and empirically valid form of treatment. Such as meditation and breathwork, may not be covered by some insurances as a treatment modality by itself in psychotherapy. Therefore, hypnotherapy may not be covered under your insurance. If that is the case, Dr Yuni usually incorporates traditional psychotherapy along with various holistic integrated approaches within a session. Dr Gardner also offers a hypnotherapy self-guided DIY courses at a very reasonable cost to supplement the psychotherapy sessions along with group sessions and other workshops throughout the year.
